Twenty Years In The Making, One Day To Deliver

First established in 2005, Groovin The Moo was built on a deceptively simple premise: drag major contemporary music lineups out of the capital cities and plant them firmly in the regions. Over two decades, it became something genuinely cultural, shaping formative live music moments for generations of fans across the country.

Then it went quiet. Life happened. The country got complicated.

The 2026 Lismore event marks a deliberate and considered return for the festival, presented as a single-show format and the first step in a long-term sustainable model for Australia's most loved regional touring festival. Starting lean means starting right. One stage. One day. All the conviction of a festival that knows exactly what it is.

Lismore was chosen for its enduring creative identity, its cultural significance at the heart of the Northern Rivers, and for the challenges the region has faced in recent years. This isn't just a concert. It's a statement. And $2 from every ticket sold goes directly to Our Kids as Official Charity Partner.

Meet The Lineup

The 2026 lineup is a collection of artists that runs the full range of what Australian music does best. From Baker Boy to Denzel Curry, Tones And I to The Chats, Dope Lemon to Matt Corby, Ninajirachi to Maple's Pet Dinosaur, there's something here that'll have everyone in your crew losing their minds at different points throughout the day.

Also on the bill: The Terrys, Angel White, The Golliflowers, and Kath Ebbs Presents Cowboy Country. Planet Music's Homegrown Hero Slot is up for grabs too, for those who reckon they belong on that stage.
