Farmluxe Flower & Wellness Retreats

Farmluxe Flower & Wellness Retreats

This is the kind of place that makes you pause mid-scroll and seriously reconsider your calendar. Farmluxe in New Zealand is a full sensory yes. Wildflowers, crisp mountain air, turquoise lakes, and that South Island summer light that makes everything feel dialled up. But the real flex isn’t the scenery. It’s the way the experience is designed. Farmluxe doesn’t just drop you into a beautiful location and call it wellness. It layers movement, stillness, floral artistry and connection in a way that actually lands. This particular retreat is designed for women, and you can arrive solo if you want. You’ll leave with women you’ll still be texting long after the flowers fade.

Farmluxe as a brand is rooted in movement, connection, wellness and beauty, with retreats hosted around the world. In New Zealand, that vision becomes a once-in-a-lifetime wildflower season pilgrimage, built around a luxury base, private charter access to remote locations, and a pace that and a pace that actually makes sense. Other Farmluxe retreats, including mixed and couples experiences, are listed further below.

Founder Q&A

This is where Farmluxe stops being just a beautiful itinerary and starts to explain why it works. Founder Misha Gillingham shares how these retreats are designed, who they’re really for, and what guests tend to carry home long after the flowers fade.

Q: Many guests arrive feeling burnt out or emotionally overloaded. How are Farmluxe retreats designed to support nervous system regulation rather than just relaxation?

It’s much more than relaxation. Many women arrive carrying the cumulative weight of multiple roles, expectations, and emotional labor. Farmluxe retreats are intentionally designed to support nervous system regulation by immersing women in beauty, safety, and meaningful connection from the moment they arrive.

The landscapes, the flowers, and the workshops immediately soothe the nervous system. Nature’s beauty has a way of softening the body before the mind even catches up. This immersion calms the soul and opens space for inspiration to flow, reminding women of who they are beneath the noise of daily life.

From there, we deepen into sensory-rich creative practices, the language of flowers, gentle embodied movement, sound and frequency healing, and guided group sharing. These experiences are not about fixing or forcing release, but about being supported and witnessed. Women feel deeply seen and heard, rediscover play and creativity, and leave not only rested, but re-inspired and reconnected to themselves and to one another.

Q: Food clearly plays an important role at Farmluxe. How do you approach meals and dining to support nourishment and restoration without feeling restrictive?

Nothing about our retreat meals are restrictive. Instead, we invite women to listen to their bodies, to enjoy the vibrant offerings from nature woven into each meal, and to rediscover how satisfying it feels to be truly fed.

Dining is sensory-rich and relaxed. It is another moment for beauty and connection rather than something to manage or worry about. We move our bodies throughout the retreat and encourage enjoying healthy, gourmet meals that stabilise energy and support restoration. Our focus is organic, local, nutritious ingredients, with flowers infused wherever possible.

Q: Who benefits most from a Farmluxe retreat and who may not be the right fit?

Farmluxe retreats are especially nourishing for women who love flowers, feel most alive in nature, and long to be immersed in beauty. They tend to be drawn to creativity, meaningful conversation, and the joy of making things with their hands.

They want to reconnect with their inner child, to play, imagine, and feel inspired again, while forming genuine connections with like-minded women who value depth, beauty, and presence.

Farmluxe is less about fixing or optimising and more about remembering. These retreats offer space for inspiration, reflection, and restoration through nature, creativity, and shared experience.

They may not be the right fit for someone seeking formal therapy, clinical healing, or a highly prescriptive wellness program with strict rules or guaranteed outcomes. Farmluxe retreats are intentionally designed as inspirational, soul-nourishing experiences rather than therapeutic interventions.

Q: After guests return home, what changes or shifts do you most commonly hear about weeks or months later?

One of the greatest joys is seeing how deeply connected the women remain long after the retreat ends. Many stay in touch, continuing to encourage and celebrate one another as they build lives rooted in shared passions and a more intentional way of living.

The shifts are often subtle but profound. Women return home noticing small details with greater gratitude and presence. They relate to themselves with more tenderness and step into their roles within families, work, and communities with renewed clarity and confidence.

Many also return home lighter and more joyful, a change often noticed by their partners. We frequently hear stories of husbands remarking on this renewed joy and enthusiastically encouraging them to return for future retreats.

Q: Do guests need prior experience with florals, journaling, or movement to participate fully?

No prior experience is needed. All that’s required is an open heart, curiosity, and a willingness to receive what nature has to offer.

Q: When you think about the upcoming New Zealand retreat, what do you expect guests will talk about most?

From photographs and videos, you might think it’s the turquoise lakes beside endless fields of wild lupines or the floral workshops where we wander through flower fields cutting blooms that speak to us.

But the moments most often spoken about are the bonds formed between women who arrived as strangers and left as friends for life.

The Experience

Farmluxe is built on the idea that beauty is not optional. It is restorative. Flowers and landscapes are the doorway, but the real magic is what happens when women feel safe enough to soften, create, laugh, exhale and be seen. The retreats are intentionally designed to support deep emotional nourishment beyond relaxation.

Program Focus

Wildflowers, gardens, hiking, self care, yoga, sound baths, journaling, floral artistry, creative workshops and nervous system focused restoration.

Personalisation Level

High touch, thoughtfully curated, small group, with a balance of scheduled experiences and spacious downtime. It is guided, but not micromanaged.

Who It’s For

Women who crave nature and beauty with substance. Solo travellers, creatives, women in transition, women carrying too much, and anyone who wants connection that is genuine and not performative.

Not designed for kids. This is an adult women’s retreat experience. Other Farmluxe retreats, including mixed and couples experiences, are listed further below.
