The BioHax Take
Each winter, Bondi ditches the surfboards and sunscreen for something much cooler. Think sea-view skating rinks, indie theatre in art deco rooms, storytelling salons inside barbershops, and roaming performance art that catches you off guard—in the best way. Bondi Festival is the city’s weird, warm, winter-proof reboot. It’s got humour, heat, and just enough art-school grit to keep things interesting.

Who It’s For
Comedy seekers, theatre junkies, foodie families, artsy beach bums, and anyone who believes Bondi should be more than just a summer fling.

Sustainability Snapshot
The event prioritises local food vendors, low-waste setups, and energy-efficient infrastructure for the ice rink and Ferris wheel. Many activities are walkable or accessible via public transport, reducing car dependence. Waste separation stations are positioned throughout the site, and selected installations reuse or repurpose existing materials. The event also partners with Waverley Council's environmental initiatives to promote sustainable community engagement.
