Often simmered within 24-48 hours - stock broth is a hybrid of bone broth and stock (made from bones, meat and vegetables), with its strong anti-inflammatory properties including collagen, glucosamine, amino acids, electrolytes, calcium and more. It is recommended to consume at least once per day and is highly valued for its easy digestion, ability to heal the lining of your gut and assist with optimal brain function.

Organic broth is a foundational component of the Gut & Psychology Syndrome diet (GAPS), which also addresses intestinal issues, auto immune diseases and neurological conditions (specifically autism, ADHD and dyslexia), developed by Russian Neurologist Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride.

Everyone is genetically unique, but the GAPS diet can serve as a starting point for your own health journey. Consistently eating an inflammatory diet will in turn send positive signals and changes to your body in the space of a few days to within a week. Your bodies overall functionality will continue to improve as bone broth and GAPS becomes a regular lifestyle habit.

The idea of consuming stock broth on a regular basis can seem a bit overwhelming at first and people often ask, “so do I just eat it like that – nothing else in it?” The answer is yes, you can absolutely eat it on its own, but you can also add above ground, organic herbs, vegetables and spices to the mix for extra flavour to suit.

You can easily add stock broth into your normal food routine, which will improve leaky gut syndrome and support general gut health and wellness without even thinking twice. The only hard part is making the commitment to start a new habit.

Disease and illness are at chronic levels in today’s world due to mass commercially processed “food products” promoted by unethical, greedy large corporations and it’s time to go back to the roots of our ancestors.

Parents and health-conscious people are waking up to big corporation’s fake, brainwashing, marketing strategies and are no longer interested in simply picking up the cheapest option at the local supermarket. They’re now investing in slow cookers and researching farmers’ markets to find the best local, organic ingredients.

Some benefits of Stock Broth include:

Sipping on warm, nutrient dense, anti-inflammatory stock broth has been recorded as hugely beneficial in all origins of natural healing remedies around the world.

No doubt our prehistoric ancestors probably made their version of meat broth by dropping fire-heated rocks into the stomachs of whatever animals they killed. This method evolved into the invention of the pot – a game-changer, where broth, soups and stocks staples were made in virtually every corner of the culinary world.

The first recording of bone broth originated in Chinese medicine and has a history which dates back over 2,500 years. It was commonly used to support digestive health, fight colds and flu’s, a blood builder and to strengthen kidneys.

The nutritional contents of stock broth depend on the quality of the ingredients and the method. You can buy or make bone broth from any animal bones, but the most popular and beneficial are , chicken, lamb, turkey, wild game and fish.

The simmering of organic bones, marrow and connective tissue found in both broths, causes them to release compounds like collagen (which also produces gelatin when heated), proline, glutamine and glycine to transform your health, reduce inflammation, joint pain and arthritis.

When heated, minerals from the bones and bone marrow leaches out into the simmering water. The bones become weakened and begin to crumble and demineralised during the 24-48 cooking process. In fact, smaller bones, like those found in chicken and fish, become so weak they fall apart when pressure is applied - and sometimes even dissolve entirely into the stock.

Ingredients specified in our grass-fed, stock broth include:

    • Certified organic products
    • Choose from Australian grown, chicken, lamb or beef (all grass fed, free range, free from chemicals and hormones)
    • Made with above organic above ground vegetables (we specify above ground, because below ground vegetables contain carbohydrates and starches]
    • Organic herbs from farmers in India such as rosemary and oregano (antioxidants and anti-inflammatory)
    • Black pepper (helps improve stomachs ability to digest)
    • Slippery elm (helps sooth inflammation in the digestive tract)
    • Kelp – which is deemed a nutrient powerhouse also aiding digestion and boosting the immune system.
    • Essential minerals

What you WON’T find in our organic stock broth:

      • No added salt
      • No chemicals
      • No gluten
      • No dairy
      • Strictly No GMO’s

        Spotlight Clinical Trial

A randomised, placebo-controlled, double-blind study was conducted at Penn State University in University Park, Pennsylvania, on the use of collagen as a dietary supplement in athletes with activity-related joint pain. The trial was conducted over a 24-week period and the results showed improvement of joint pain in athletes who were treated with the dietary supplement collagen hydrolysate.

Despite the study's size and limitations, the results suggest athletes in a high-risk group consuming collagen hydrolysate can reduce joint deterioration and joint pain, that have a negative impact on their overall athletic performance.

        Dosage

It is recommended to have a minimum of 250mls daily, but honestly, as much as you can stomach it’s that good for you. Completing the stock broth detox for one week will be the most effective at halting any inflammatory issues and then reduce it to one meal per day.

        Best Before:

Purchase frozen, it will take 24-48 hours to defrost in the fridge, where it will last for approximately 5 days and up to 6 months in the freezer in an airtight container.

Food allergies and intolerances are linked to leaky gut syndrome, but there is a solution and you don’t have to live with all the nasty side-effects and sometimes life-threatening autoimmune disease that follow

Completing our stock broth detox, where you eat nothing but bone broth for a solid week has been shown to make a significant difference. As bone broth contains collagen, along with amino acids proline and glycine, it greatly assists with healing the damaged lining of your gut and cell walls.

        Pregnancy:

Organic bone broth is overall one of the most healing foods you can consume on a regular basis, even when you’re pregnant. Choosing a flavour is personal preference, but the health benefits of beef and chicken are very similar. It is not recommended to use instant pot recipes because they’re cooked at a higher temperature for a shorter period. With regard to beef broth, it is more advantageous to it for 24-48 hours, as the bones are thicker and larger than a chicken, in order to extract all the nutrients.

One of the top 7 foods to help get rid of leaky gut syndrome is stock broth. It contains collagen and amino acids (proline and glycine), which assist in healing your damaged cell walls. Many of Dr Axe’s patients have completed a broth fast to help heal their leaky gut and are suffering autoimmune diseases. Leaky gut syndrome affects millions of people around the world, who either know or unknowingly suffer the side-effects of multiple food sensitivities. When gluten and other toxic foods are digested, it seeps through your intestinal lining, and straight into your bloodstream causing an allergic reaction.

This allergic response from a leaky gut appears in the form of the following symptoms:

        • Bloating
        • Food sensitivities
        • Thyroid conditions
        • Fatigue
        • Joint pain
        • Headaches
        • Skin issues like rosacea and acne
        • Digestive problems
        • Weight gain

If left un-diagnosed or treated, it can lead to other health issues such as IBS, inflammatory bowel disease, IBS, arthritis, eczemapsoriasis, depression, anxiety, migraine headaches, muscle pain and chronic fatigue.

An article published in the Journal of Diabetes, “The Perfect Storm for Type 1 Diabetes” shows strong evidence pointing to leaky gut syndrome as a major cause of autoimmune diseases, such as the “incurable” type 1 diabetes

Another problem with leaky gut is when food consumed that should be absorbed by the intestines is leaking out of the gut and into your blood stream it therefore causes malabsorption of vital minerals and nutrients, such as zinc, iron and vitamin B12.

Lectins and Foods that Cause Leaky Gut

Lectins, also referred to as “toxic plant protein” (given they’re designed to protect plants from predators), are found in many foods, not just grains, and some medical professionals claim if consumed in smaller amounts, your body should not react. However, foods that have large amounts of lectins can cause severe problems like leaky gut and are largely due to consuming wheat, rice, spelt and soy.

To overcome this dilemma, the process of sprouting and fermenting grains is used in an attempt to reduce phytates and lectins, making these foods easier to digest. Processed, GMO and hybridized foods tend to be the highest in lectins since they have been modified by humans to fight off disease and insects. Grains containing gluten (such as wheat, barley and rye) can damage your intestinal lining, which can potentially lead to leaky gut syndrome.
